THERE IS NO CHANCE THE NJ NETS ARE AQUIRING MELO!!! This trade is purely meant to entice the Knicks to offer more. Who in their right mind would sign with the Nets? They play in Newark and have a horrific fan base. It hurts me to say this as a Met fan but playing for the Nets over the Knicks is the equivalent of playing for the Mets over the Yankees. The Nets are the Knicks little, less popular and less exciting (this year at least) brother. I do not want to hear about Brooklyn either. This is not a positive!! Have you ever been on the Belt parkway? It is terrible!!! So-called "analysts" talk about the move to Brooklyn like it will immediately entice players to come. Why would anybody want to play in Brooklyn when they can play at MSG, the most electrifying arena in the NBA? NBA players are not 15 year olds who love the idea of having a shirt that says Brooklyn. They go where the money is and where they have the best opportunity to win. The best part about this "trade" is the key components who would surround Melo. Let's Start with Hamilton, he plays 40 games at best and his numbers are steadily on a decline. This guy was in his prime 5 years ago! Maybe if we bring back Mo Vaughn Albert Pujols will sign with the Mets next year! Now on to Chauncey Billups the guy is 34 years oldm but is the lesser of two evils. I know there are plenty of Nets fans out on Long Island ready to Rant, bring it on!!!

Introduction - JETS

Welcome to NY Sports Rant. This blog has been created as a place for true NY sports fans to let out their excitement and frustration with all things sports. Obviously right now the hot button is the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets! What are the odds of this team going into Foxborough and beating a Brady team which I believe is more dominant than ever (let's not forget 2007-08 season ended with my boys in blue ruining their "perfect" season). I honestly cannot see this team going into Brady's home and coming away with a playoff victory. Rex keeps preaching about this game being a "battle of the coaches" and realistically the only battle the Jets can win here is a battle of the defenses or a battle of the more talented wide receiver core. I am not looking to rip apart the Jets and I would love to see them win, this just does not appear to be their year. I feel that when Sanchez is coming into his prime and Brady is ending his, the Jets will dominant the AFC East. LET'S GET THIS RANT GOING!!!!
